Multifunctional printers hailed for efficiency
Businesses in the UK have been urged to consider the cost advantages of multifunctional printers.
According to Computer Weekly, many companies tend to use more pages than they need to when printing documents and emails. This, it warned, is leading to considerable waste, both in terms of the paper itself and the amount it all costs.
Therefore, the publication has recommended that businesses equip their offices with multifunctional printers, as these can reduce the amount of paper used. As a result, businesses can reduce their carbon footprint and use their office stationery more efficiently. "Whether printing e-mails or other documents, using both sides of the page can almost halve the number of pages used," Computer Weekly commented. The publication added that this should be acceptable to employers, as most pages that are printed are often draft copies or for personal use.
This report comes after a study commissioned by Samsung found that companies could make "significant savings" by selecting the most efficient printers according to their office needs.
