Office storage 'helps companies run effectively'
Business owners have been encouraged to consider the importance of having adequate office storage. According to Bridgit Hanson of the Billings Small Business Examiner, a lack of organisation in an office can make simple tasks more difficult than they need to be.
Therefore, she has advised company bosses to make sure that important documents are correctly placed in trays and folders. "You'll be able to work through your office in a systematic way without finding yourself buried in a pile of stuff," she commented. Ms Hanson also suggested that desks also need to be well organised, as office supplies which are frequently used should be readily accessible. She said this is important as the desktop is likely to be the most-used space in any office. "Create a system for work on your desk," Ms Hanson added.
This echoes recent advice from interior design expert Jayne Leighton Herd, who said making sure an office space is neat and tidy can help a business run more efficiently.
