Xerox highly ranked in copier-printer study
Xerox has been named by analyst Gartner as a leader in the field of multi-function copiers and printers (MFPs).
In its latest Magic Quadrant for MFPs study, Xerox described leaders as companies with broad printing solutions and services, global capability, superior levels of support and strong research and development initiatives.
Commenting on its ranking, Rick Dastin, president of the Xerox Office Group, stated: "In my opinion, these results demonstrate our ability to provide innovative products, services and solutions to meet the needs of businesses small to large."
The Xerox product range features colour and black-and-white desktop printers, office multifunction systems, services and solutions such as the extensible interface platform, which allows firms to build software to perform complex tasks to suit their needs.
Gartner developed the proprietary research tool in order to evaluate companies more effectively and other vendors singled out as leaders in the sector by the analyst include Hewlett-Packard, Canon and Ricoh.
