Xerox unveils new office printers

Office supplies manufacturer Xerox has outlined the design principles behind its latest range of printing devices. The company has just unveiled a selection of new products, including the Xerox Phaser 7500 colour printer and the WorkCentre 6400 multi-function printer (MFP).

According to the firm, its latest offerings take multi-tasking to "a new level", as customers can get print jobs done more quickly and easily than in the past. Xerox added that "breakthrough" innovations such as its Color By Words system would enable users to fine-tune their print jobs to get vibrant and accurate results.

Rick Dastin, spokesperson for the company, commented: "We've been hard at work bringing our advanced MFP and printer technologies to our entire product line, delivering increased productivity to workgroups of all sizes."

He added that the new desktop products include the same security features and are as easy to use as Xerox's console machines.

This comes shortly after Xerox chairman Anne Mulcahy reaffirmed the company's commitment to rolling out affordable office products during the global economic downturn.
