Printer in colour 'a luxury for office workers'
Many office workers consider printing a document in colour a luxury, according to a new survey.
Research commissioned by Xerox found that 53 per cent of respondents hold this point of view, mainly because of the perceived expense in buying a colour printer.
However, the company has responded to the finding by insisting that some of its new multi-function printers are in the same price range as many black and white models. Indeed, Xerox also stated that these devices are easy to use and produce high-quality images, as well as little waste. "Colour isn't just pleasing to the eye," the company continued.
"It's good for business. Colour documents resonate far greater with people than black and white."
Xerox added that content of colour documents tends to be understood more quickly and retained for longer. This comes after a recent poll commissioned by the company found that many office employees find it difficult to change an ink cartridge. Xerox responded by highlighting the benefits of its new colour multi-function printers, as they are easier to use.
