Business owners advised to think green

Businesses in the UK have been urged to consider the environment when purchasing their stationery supplies.

According to the Daily Mail, companies could help to protect the planet by buying items made of recycled materials.
The publication highlighted a notebook as an example, as its raw materials were sourced from recycled juice cartons.

Similarly, it revealed that items such as eco-friendly packs of A4 paper and pencils made from plastic cups are also available from retailers.

Commenting on these items, the Daily Mail said: "Recycled office supplies make non-human resources go further and help the environment."
The newspaper added that if businesses buy 100 reams of recycled paper, this works out to the same as them saving up to two trees. This comes shortly after the Waste and Resources Action Programme revealed that the price of paper is much lower than it was this time last year.
