Good storage solutions 'can improve office efficiency'

People who have set up a home office have been urged to make sure their workspace is organised and uncluttered. According to Jayne Leighton Herd, an interior design specialist at Chez-Vous HomeStyle, making sure an office space is neat and tidy can help a business run more efficiently. Therefore, she has recommended that people consider the various storage options that are available to buyers of office supplies, such as shelves and folders.

This, she stated, would ensure that any important documents and files are correctly labelled and stored in a properly allocated spot. Ms Leighton Herd commented: "Get that space organised.  Make sure that everything has a designated place."

She added that storing files electronically on labelled discs could also be a good option for home office workers.

This comes after a study by BT Business and Nortel found that 42 per cent of employees in the UK believe they could be more productive if they worked at home.
